1. Avoid Washing for 48 Hours

Allow the film to fully adhere to the surface by refraining from washing your vehicle for at least 48 hours after installation. This ensures optimal bonding with the paint.

2. Hand Wash Only

For the first few weeks, we recommend hand washing your vehicle using a soft microfiber mitt, pH-neutral soap, and clean water. Avoid automated car washes, as harsh brushes or chemicals can damage the film.

3. Use the Two-Bucket Method

To minimize the risk of scratches, use the two-bucket method when washing your vehicle: one bucket for soapy water, and the other for rinsing your mitt.

4. Dry with Microfiber Towels

Always dry the surface with soft, clean microfiber towels to avoid water spots and preserve the film’s clarity.

5. Avoid High-Pressure Washers

Do not use high-pressure washers directly on the film, as they can cause edges to lift. Keep the nozzle at least 12 inches from the surface.

6. Be Cautious with Chemicals

Avoid using abrasive or harsh chemicals, such as degreasers or tire cleaners, on areas with PPF. These can damage the film or affect its clarity and shine.

7. Keep the Film Free from Contaminants

Although PPF is designed to be self-healing, it’s important to keep the film free from heavy contaminants like tree sap, bird droppings, or road tar. Clean these off immediately with a gentle cleaner.

8. Spot Clean and Inspect Regularly
