What is Paint Protection Film (PPF)?
Paint Protection Film (PPF), also known as a clear bra, is a virtually invisible urethane film applied to your vehicle’s exterior surfaces. It provides a durable shield against scratches, rock chips, road debris, and other environmental damage. PPF also features self-healing properties, allowing minor scratches to disappear with heat, keeping your car looking pristine. Additionally, color change PPF is available, allowing you to customize your vehicle’s look with a wide range of colors and finishes while still benefiting from the protection PPF offers.
Who is it for?
• Luxury and Exotic Car Owners: Protect your investment and maintain its flawless appearance.
• Daily Drivers: Minimize wear and tear from road debris and parking lot scratches.
• Car Enthusiasts: Keep your vehicle’s paint in showroom condition.
• Road Trippers: Shield your vehicle from rock chips and bugs during long drives.
• New Car Owners: Preserve the factory finish from day one.
• Resale Preparers: Enhance your vehicle’s value by keeping its paint in top condition.
• Those Looking for a New Look: With color change PPF, you can transform your vehicle’s appearance while still maintaining ultimate protection.
PPF is the ultimate solution for anyone seeking to protect their vehicle from damage and maintain its value and appearance over time, with the added benefit of customization through color change options.
Thank you for choosing Atmosphere Auto Tint! Proper care is essential to maintaining the performance and appearance of your Paint Protection Film (PPF). Follow these guidelines to ensure long-lasting protection and a flawless finish:
1. Avoid Washing for 48 Hours
Allow the film to fully adhere to the surface by refraining from washing your vehicle for at least 48 hours after installation. This ensures optimal bonding with the paint.
2. Hand Wash Only
For the first few weeks, we recommend hand washing your vehicle using a soft microfiber mitt, pH-neutral soap, and clean water. Avoid automated car washes, as harsh brushes or chemicals can damage the film.
3. Use the Two-Bucket Method
To minimize the risk of scratches, use the two-bucket method when washing your vehicle: one bucket for soapy water, and the other for rinsing your mitt.
4. Dry with Microfiber Towels
Always dry the surface with soft, clean microfiber towels to avoid water spots and preserve the film’s clarity.
5. Avoid High-Pressure Washers
Do not use high-pressure washers directly on the film, as they can cause edges to lift. Keep the nozzle at least 12 inches from the surface.
6. Be Cautious with Chemicals
Avoid using abrasive or harsh chemicals, such as degreasers or tire cleaners, on areas with PPF. These can damage the film or affect its clarity and shine.
7. Keep the Film Free from Contaminants
Although PPF is designed to be self-healing, it’s important to keep the film free from heavy contaminants like tree sap, bird droppings, or road tar. Clean these off immediately with a gentle cleaner.
8. Spot Clean and Inspect Regularly
Periodically inspect the PPF for any signs of damage, and gently clean areas with stubborn stains using a mild cleaner. If you notice any lifting or bubbling, contact us for assistance.
9. Reapply PPF Maintenance Products
Use products designed specifically for PPF to maintain its hydrophobic properties and gloss. These can be applied periodically to help restore the protective layer and enhance the finish.
By following these simple aftercare steps, you can ensure that your PPF remains in optimal condition, providing continuous protection for your vehicle’s paint. Contact us for any questions or for specialized maintenance products!
